About Brodie Tax & Accounting
Direct, Technically Strong Tax & Accounting Support
Brodie Tax & Accounting was built to provide individuals and business owners with clear answers, careful analysis, and direct professional support. Every engagement is approached by understanding the complete situation.
Robert Brodie works personally with clients facing complex tax filings, unresolved IRS matters, bookkeeping problems, and important business accounting decisions. The goal is straightforward: identify the real issue, explain the available path clearly, and complete the work with accuracy and follow-through.
The Firm’s Story
Built Around Solving the Entire Problem
Brodie Tax & Accounting began with a foundation in bookkeeping and small-business accounting. Working directly with business owners made one issue increasingly clear: bookkeeping, tax preparation, entity decisions, and IRS problems are rarely separate from one another.
Inaccurate books can create incorrect returns. An incorrectly prepared return can lead to an IRS notice. An unresolved notice can affect future filings, payment arrangements, penalties, and business decisions. Addressing only one isolated piece of the problem often leaves the underlying issue unresolved.
The firm therefore developed around a more complete approach. That includes reviewing the records, understanding the tax reporting, identifying prior-year problems, and considering how the current issue affects the client going forward.
Today, Brodie Tax & Accounting provides complex tax preparation, IRS tax resolution, bookkeeping, cleanup work, and ongoing accounting support. Clients work directly with Robert rather than being passed through a high-volume preparation process.
Founder
Robert Brodie, MAcc
Robert founded Brodie Tax & Accounting to combine technical tax knowledge with responsive, practical client service.
He earned both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy from Florida Southern College. His education and professional work have focused on individual and business taxation, financial accounting, IRS problem resolution, and the tax issues affecting closely held businesses.
Robert’s work includes individual returns involving business ownership, investments, pass-through income, multiple states, amended filings, and other complex reporting. He also prepares business and fiduciary returns, including S corporation, partnership, estate, and trust filings.
In IRS matters, his approach begins with determining what the taxpayer’s account and filing history actually show. That may require reviewing transcripts, notices, previously filed returns, payment history, penalties, or missing filings before recommending a resolution strategy.
For ongoing business clients, Robert connects bookkeeping and accounting work to tax compliance and planning. This helps produce more accurate records, fewer filing surprises, and clearer information for business decisions throughout the year.
